QA Engineer to Surgical Science
Surgical Science is a leading supplier of virtual reality simulators and simulations for medical training. Our training systems are used by medical training centers and institutes worldwide.
We are looking for a manual QA Engineer who wants to join our journey of bringing state-of-the-art surgical training simulators to the healthcare sector.
The role:
As a QA engineer at Surgical Science, you will have responsibility for assessing software quality through manual testing. In the role, the areas you will be testing includes 3D-animation, VR, medical simulations, and SW-HW integrated systems.
As we are starting up a new QA-function in Sweden, it is important that you are self-driven. Together with relevant stakeholders, you will be responsible for deploying our manual testing operations in Sweden. As it is a new role within the Swedish organization, you will have a lot of development opportunities within the organization. You will collaborate a lot with our QA-team in Israel.
Some of the main areas of responsibility includes:
- Receive, manage, and define incoming requirements
- Design and execute test plans according to requirements
- Collaborate with Product and Development teams to ensure effective testing strategies
- Report bugs and errors to the development teams
- Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing
Your profile:
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have 2 years or more of previous experience in web/manual/application testing and issue reporting. It’s beneficial if you have experience from the medical device field or working with embedded systems.
As a colleague, you are communicative and used to work with agile methodologies. You consider yourself to be a team player, results oriented and with a keen eye for details with proven success of documenting and troubleshooting errors.
To summarize, we think you have:
- Roughly 2+ years of experience within QA/manual testing
- Experience with tools like Jira, SQL, Git as well as tools used for testing
- Professional level of English, Swedish is a plus
- Proven ability of documenting and reporting errors
Nice to have, but not a requirement:
- Experience within the field of simulation/Gaming/Medical devices.
