About the role:

As our new Senior Software Engineer IoT, you will be part of the team responsible for the IoT value chain, from firmware running on physical devices to reliable data ingestion and availability in our cloud-based SaaS applications.

Your role combines backend development with a responsibility for the stability and continuous improvement of our growing global gateway fleet. Working closely with our embedded engineers and fellow software engineers, you will contribute to building and maintaining robust, scalable solutions that support a rapidly growing global deployment.

Your responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining Java-based backend systems within the IoT domain.

• Working with Kubernetes-based services that support device and data operations.

• Taking responsibility for parts of the gateway fleet, including monitoring, updates and version control.

• Ensuring stable and traceable data flows from devices to cloud services.

• Participating in troubleshooting and deeper technical investigations and contributing to documentation, validation activities, and root cause analysis when required.

About you:

You are an experienced software engineer with a strong sense of ownership and accountability in your work. You work comfortably across technical boundaries and are not hesitant to step outside your role definition when needed to support the team.

With your structured and pragmatic approach, you are accustomed to working in regulated environments where stability, traceability, and clear documentation are essential. You communicate clearly and contribute constructively in both technical discussions and day-to-day collaboration.

What we believe you will bring:

• A master’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.

• Several years of experience as a software engineer, with a strong focus on backend development in Java and Kubernetes.

• Experience with IoT, connected devices or large-scale distributed systems.

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

We see experience with Python, cloud platforms (preferably Azure), Infrastructure as Code, GitHub Actions, and knowledge of gateways, networking or cellular communication, as a plus.
