Bring AI into real-world development workflows. Help teams move from curiosity to capability. As AI Coding Evangelist at Monterro, you’ll work hands-on with developers and CTOs across the Nordics to embed AI into how software is actually built, codebase by codebase, team by team.
We’re seeking an AI Coding Evangelist to join our Stockholm-based AI team. You’ll be the hands-on force that kick-starts AI coding adoption across Monterro’s portfolio companies. You’ll work directly with CTOs and development teams to transform how they build software using AI. While you’ll interact with product managers and CPOs, your focus is on the development process, helping teams code faster and better, not deciding what to build.
It’s not about telling teams what to build it’s about transforming how they build. You’ll coach, pair-program, run enablement sessions, and build sustainable workflows that stick.
Your mission:
As AI Coding Evangelist, your focus is to bring AI-assisted software development into everyday practice across Monterro’s portfolio companies.
- Lead on-site enablement sessions with development teams across the Nordics
- Work directly in real codebases to solve engineering problems using AI tools
- Teach AI-assisted coding techniques: code generation, refactoring, writing tests, documentation, etc.
- Help teams integrate AI into their current development culture and toolchain
- Support sustainable adoption through follow-ups, pair programming, and tailored guidance
- Continuously explore new AI development tools and create reusable knowledge assets
You will bring:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development, ideally across multiple tech stacks or companies
- 3+ years working with AI-assisted development tools in practice
- Strong coding skills and a practical understanding of how AI supports development
- A daily user of AI tools, you know what works, what doesn’t and why
- Comfortable adapting quickly to different codebases, teams, and tech environments
- Fluent in English; Swedish or another Nordic language is a plus

A hands-on enabler who thrives in real-time collaboration with developers. Curious, pragmatic, and quick to build trust, whether with CTOs or junior engineers. You’re comfortable leading sessions, switching between tech stacks, and focused on making AI adoption last. Based in Sweden and happy to travel across the Nordics to work face-to-face with teams.
