About the role
As an Engineering Manager at Qred, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our organizational design, people management and way of working. You'll be acting as a development manager for the Revenue domain, where you’ll lead and support 4 talented development teams (with a Tech Lead per team). Your focus will be to ensure alignment with our methodologies and fostering collaboration within the Revenue domain. This role calls for a visionary leader with a technical background and a passion for building high-performing teams.
What you’ll do
- People Leadership: Empower, mentor and manage ~15 skilled engineers to help them reach their full potential.
- Efficient Way of Working: Champion methodologies like Agile, Lean, Continuous Delivery and DevOps to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our engineering processes. Drive and align our Qred engineering maturity model through all teams.
- Collaboration and Cross-Functional Work: Foster strong collaboration and communication between Engineering, Product Management and UX Design.
- Shape the Team: Define team structures, optimize resource allocation and match personalities, ensure scalability and productivity within the engineering organization.
- Attract Top Talent: Lead recruitment efforts to build and retain a high-performing engineering organization.
- Enable Qred: You will be an integral part of the Revenue Domain, working closely with the CTO, Architects and the Chief Revenue Officer to drive impactful results. Your primary focus will always be on what’s best for Qred as a whole, ensuring that our overarching goals take precedence over individual department priorities.
What we’re looking for
- A natural mentor who loves coaching engineering talent and fostering growth.
- Someone with a technical background with broad fullstack experience (bonus if you know your way around JavaScript, Node.js, React or React Native).
- Leadership experience with at least 2 years in a Head of Engineering or Development Manager role in a sizable organization (preferably with a domain structure).
- Someone with a university degree in engineering, a strategic mindset, and a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices and modern software development principles.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to inspire teams and build strong relationships across functions.

- Great understanding of cultural differences and proficiency in English as we have employees from around the globe.
- An office-first mindset and that you love connecting with your teams in person, understanding their challenges and building trust through genuine, non-formal interactions.
