Recharge is a pioneer in the electric car industry and has operated a publicly available charging network for electric cars since 2011. Today, Recharge is a leading operator for charging stations in the Nordic region and operates more than 3,500 charging points in Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark. Recharge supports the transition to an electric car fleet by offering simple and user-friendly charging services in attractive locations. Recharge is owned by Infracapital, which is part of M&G Plc. M&G Plc is listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Job Description
As our CTO, your primary responsibility is to transform strategy into reality. This role encompasses the overall IT and data strategy of Recharge, with a strong focus on commercial and value-creating aspects. You will guide our technology initiatives and develop comprehensive plans for future endeavors within both the tech sector and the broader organization. Our strategy revolves around innovation and collaboration. We value a mix of white-label solutions, strategic partnerships with industry leaders, and in-house innovations where you will serve as a leading voice in propelling Recharge into a new technological era.
In addition to being a visionary leader, we expect you to be hands-on and dive into the work directly when necessary. It's crucial that our CTO leads by example, showing a willingness to be involved in the details and perform tasks themselves, ensuring that leadership is actively engaged in our tech team's core activities.
Your role is vital in cultivating a high-performance team within Recharge's technology department. You will guide and motivate, coaching a diverse team with ambitious plans to expand, combining in-house expertise with smart outsourced solutions. With expansion on the horizon for Recharge's tech department, you'll significantly influence our course of action and methodologies. You'll collaborate with Recharge's leadership team, including our Head of Product and CEO, ensuring strategies align with business goals.
In this role, you will have responsibility for personnel and budget management. You will report directly to the CEO and be a member of the executive leadership team.

The qualifications we expect are as follows:
- A proven history of leading and mentoring technical teams.
- Capability to lead the strategic development and integration of a comprehensive tech stack, which includes front-end and back-end systems, SaaS Solutions, API integrations, coupled with expertise in industrial IT and data management.
- A knack for forging and maintaining relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other external parties.
- At a minimum, a relevant Bachelor's degree
