Cobolt AB is at the very forefront of the industry in the development and manufacture of high-performance CW and Q-switched lasers. We are committed to supplying high performance and innovative lasers that meet or exceed the market’s expectations concerning quality, reliability and robustness. We are now further expanding the R&D department and are therefore looking for a skilled Software Engineer to complement our talented team of engineers.
As our Software Engineer you will work in close collaboration with software, electrical, mechanical CAD and laser engineers. The job includes design and implementation of firmware for microcontrollers such as ARM processors for Cobolt’s high performance lasers. Your work will also include programming tasks like the group user interface that allows control of the lasers from standard PC and is slightly linked to the firmware functionality. Furthermore, the work also involves test and verification to fully qualify the products for markets expectations. Your work will consist of a combination of design improvements on existing products, and new development.

- We believe that you are a structured person who are used to, and enjoys, working in teams and communicating with others. We also believe that you have:
- BSc, MSc degree in software engineering, or similar
- Strong knowledge of programming languages like the C-family
- Experienced in working with microprocessors and microcontrollers such as ARM
- Fluent in English
Cobolt AB was founded in 2000 and is a spin-off from a research project at KTH. Today Cobolt AB belongs to the HÜBNER Photonics Group and the research department here consists of 11 persons working within CAD, laser-, software- and electronic engineering.
