The team

You now have the opportunity to become part of our fantastic and fast-growing Analytics team, which currently consists of 10 people spread between Uppsala, Stockholm and Oslo. The team is responsible for the group's data platform and possesses expertise in Python, SQL, Qlik Sense, Power BI, JavaScript, GO and Azure Cloud etc. You will work with incredibly dedicated colleagues who are eager to share their knowledge and who are passionate about making GlobalConnect data-driven.

You can choose to work at our office in Uppsala or Stockholm and some time remotely.

About the role

In the role of Data Engineer, you will develop and manage our data platform VERUM. As we have built three different in-house applications for our platform here at GlobalConnect, this position will also involve system development. You will bring in new data, handle our CI/CD flows and watch over our running procedures. Furthermore, you will keep track of the data pipeline. A usual week includes both maintenance and the development of new features for our applications.

Technology stack

Our platform is based in Azure Cloud where we have chosen Snowflake as our data warehouse. We have Power BI as our primary front-end tool for future development, but also manage a large Qlik Sense environment. Our extract pipelines are managed and run through a team-built application developed in Python, React.js/Node.js and PostgreSQL. Our CI/CD flows are managed in GitLab.

Who you are

We are looking for you with a background in data engineering or system development who is interested in leveraging data to make GlobalConnect more data-driven. You like to take responsibility for the bigger picture, are solution-oriented and eager to develop by giving to and receiving feedback from your colleagues. In addition, you are a team player.

Need to have

• Relevant education
• 1+ years of experience in a similar role
• SQL & Python
• Familiar with a cloud environment
• Fluent in spoken and written Swedish or Norwegian and English

It is an advantage if you have a broad programming background as well as experience with JavaScript (Node.js, React.js) and data modeling.
