Who are we?

Eways is a fast-growing independent charging operator that helps our society with converting to a fossil-free lifestyle, by making it easy to charge and drive electric cars. The founders Niclas & Petra Sahlgren built Eways from the ground up after many long discussions on the fossil-free movement in society in their family home kitchen in Stocksund back in 2015. Today, we are a leading independent charging operator with well over 15 000 smart charging points across Sweden.

About the position 

In this role, you will be a part of a growing agile team that collaborates with multiple projects. You will lead the way in how we set up a user-friendly and easy to sustain front-end environment. This could, for example, include creating a whole new "my pages" portal and in the pipe, there are a lot of exciting greenfield projects. That includes working with both internal and external tools and paving the way for our front-end environment. 

As Lead Front-End Engineer you will work in the Digital Team which consists of back-end and front-end engineers, product owners and the CDO. In the team, you will be the first front-end lead so you'll have complete ownership of the front-end development.

What we are looking for

• Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
• You're excited about building and leading a team
• You feel intrigued by paving the way for our front-end development
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Web and Application Development, digital solutions, and LEAN / Agile Methodology
• To have a passion for modern technologies, frameworks, and tools in system development.
• Experience with React.js, CSS, HTML
• Experience in cloud solutions
• You have good knowledge of written and spoken English.  

It's considered a plus if you have experience in

• Node.js or Redux.js
• C# or .NET
• Microsoft Azure
• CI/CD pipeline
• E-commerce and retail.
